REAL WEDDING: { JIMSON & ABEGAIL } BATANES

We don't have a lot of photos of this wedding, but what we got are enough to show how Jimson and Abegail's day(s) went. They had their engagement shoot in Batanes as well (loving the shots where Groom Jimson and his entourage wore Kanayi, the traditional sleeveless vest of the male Ivatans)! On their wedding day, Bride Abegail carried our cascade bouquet of Gypsophila, Astrantia, Bouvardia, Syringa, and Misty White: something with volume but still feels lite. The rest of her ladies carried fluffy composite bouquets of white and pink Gypsophila. The evening ended with a bang - literally - as the Batanes night sky was lit with fireworks, music, and cheers. ^_^

REAL WEDDING: { JAMES & RACHEL } BATANES

True story: we've lost count as to how many times we've done weddings in breathtaking Batanes, but we've never personally been to the islands. Maybe in 2022, when things are better. ^_^ Today, we're sharing with you a wedding we worked on four years ago.

Photographer Jaja Samaniego writes in her journal that,"As expected, there were showers days before the wedding. There were dark clouds in the morning which, pretty much, set my expectation for the day. Interestingly, the weather suddenly shifted just before the bride entered the church, as if the heavens were trying to show their approval of the union." What a wonderful story! Sometimes when you least expect it, God has ways of making things better.
