REAL WEDDING: ATSUSHI + MARJORIE

---
This is one wedding that I will never ever forget, not only for all its pretty details, but for Bride Marjorie's special request: that all the flowers to be used for the arrangements carry only positive meanings (or something like that).

Now, although we've been doing weddings for quite some time now, we've never really given flower meanings that much attention. No, make that AT ALL, ha ha, until this wedding. I am not so sure anymore, but I must have sighed deeply upon reading the request because wow, this was going to be a tough one, LOL! (Marjorie blogged about this here).

So, okay, after the reality has set in, an internal debate immediately ensued: should it be meaning over beauty or beauty over meaning? Then I remembered a scene in that hilarious 1995 film, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, where they were renting a second-hand car and the consideration was function or beauty. Well, for those of us who saw it, we all know what the answer was, ha ha! Every now and then, we need a little kababawan just to spice things up. Anyhow, after some email exchanges, we eventually found a common ground and finalized the flowers to be used.

On the hindsight, we know that brides have various reasons for picking us. Others cite the beauty and uniqueness of our arrangements, others simply feel secure that we're going to arrive and be on time, and the others feel that their sense of aesthetics and that of ours match hence the promise of a good working relationship. We'd like to believe that for Marjorie, we were all that and more, and we only have her to thank for believing in us. Marjorie and Atsushi had a truly wonderful wedding & the photos below are a testament to their oh-so happy day. On our end, we're proud to have contributed, even in a small way, to their event's success.

Enjoy the lovely photos! :-)

REAL WEDDING: LEX & KRISEL

---
This is one of those weddings where we talked to the groom more than the bride. From the time the first email was sent, we closed all details within one month: a record for grooms, who normally don't decide as quickly as brides (is this a fact? Let us know!). We also accommodated the bride's request to make a cascade bouquet with crystal accents - a complete deviation from our SoCal look. Not bad though, as we've received lots of good reviews for this particular work. We're also happy that we worked with friends, which made working on this wedding an easier task.

Lex & Krisel, thank you for making us a part of your special day! God bless! Here's wishing you all the best in the world! :-)
