REAL WEDDING: { CARLO & MICO } TAGAYTAY

There's so many things to love about this wedding we did back in February of this year. The colour motif, those cool floral shirts for the men (where do we get one?!), the lovely gowns, THAT bridal dress, the great weather, the super touching vows (do watch Mayad Studio's SDE at the end of this post)! Everything was just perfect! For Bride Mico, we created a lush, loose bouquet using Syringa, Anemones, Hyacinths, Ornithogalum, Ecuadorian Roses, and Freesia. We also employed fresh ferns for that laid-back feel. The customized aviation-inspired items were some of the subtle reference to their wedding theme, and we think Toto Villaruel and his team did an awesome job capturing everything so beautifully, you can almost hear the chatter and the giggling and the laughter from here! ^_^  Carlo and Mico, thank you so much for making us a part of your special day!

REAL WEDDING: JOHN JO & ISOBELLE

Bride Isobelle and I knew of each other through a former TMF/VM couple (the groom is her friend). We go a long, long way back (like January 2010 back!) and we've discussed endlessly through long, long FB chats and as we neared the event date, there was a rush to do a costing and to arrange a pick up in Manila. The plan has always been to just get the bridal bouquet from me (the first time we're allowing this) and they'd take care of everything else.

From these photos alone, I can say that they've done amazingly well with the DIY projects, and how! There are details that a lot of brides would definitely drool over. It helped, of course, that Bride Isobelle was guided by a Mood Board which she herself made. I am posting them here (see below) to show you, our dear readers, how to make one:

Left: To channel the summer vibe, we used these bright yellow Viva Ecuadorian Roses as the main flower of Isobelle's bouquet. For variety and texture, we added pomelo Celosia, green Hypericum berries, yellow Snapdragon, yellow Wax Flowers (to replace the Chamomile, which was the original plan), yellow Cymbidium orchids, and magenta Gloriosa Lilies. Right: Aren't these heart clothespins just awesome?!





















Guests signed their names on the thumb print tree which served as the guest book. This concept is very popular in a lot of SoCal weddings.


It's the little touches that make things really special like the paper doily that pretty much dolled up what could have been a dull empty wine bottle!

These DIY escort cards were surely worth the effort!


Guest filled up a form which served as their own message to the happy couple. What a brilliant idea!
