REAL WEDDING: { JONATHAN & HAEZEL }

--
Despite the 'Manila' in our brand, we're actually very provinciano by heart. This 2011 wedding in Davao City is special to us because it represented a homecoming of sorts to our place of birth. Jonathan and Haezel, who are both based abroad, were very hands on during the preps. We got to chat with them a lot during the course of the planning and they've been really helpful in terms of giving us a firm view of how they want their wedding to be. Too bad though that we weren't ready then for out-of-town reception styling (that would have been really swell, if ever!). We remember Jonathan and Haezel as among the kindest people we've ever encountered; you can really feel their goodness coming through.

It's also amazing that we got to work with mostly Visayan-speaking suppliers. From Tito Cecilio Abad (who hails from Bacolod) to Ryan Ortega (who referred us; from Davao) and MVP Digital (from Cagayan de Oro, my other home). This wedding opened a lot of doors for us in that we now do a lot of destination weddings. Out-of-Manila events now comprise 10% of our total events in a year with Boracay being our major market, followed by Cebu, Davao / General Santos, and Bohol. More than anything, we have our fellow suppliers to thank for bringing us to these wonderful places. May our good Lord bless you all for your generosity and kindness. ^_^

 Today, dear readers, we proudly present the wedding of Jonathan & Haezel. Enjoy! ^_^

REAL WEDDING: { REYLAN & DYAN }

--
“The best colour in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.” - Coco Chanel

To be honest, we thought we would never be able to work on this wedding. Back when Bride Dyan's inquiry came in, our craft division, {etc} Handmade Goodness, has never worked on a whole set of entourage items just yet. With a Travel / Chanel theme and a requirement that all items be rendered in tweed (made popular by Chanel's tweed jacket, first released in 1954), we hemmed and hawed for quite a considerable time. So much for inspiration (I think we really were just scared!). :-p

Three things, however, inspired us more to pursue this project: Cebu x Rock Paper Scissors x Snoogie Mata. The opportunity to work with seasoned suppliers in one of our favorite places on earth (Cebu was home to us for four years!) made us hit the cram clock and photo finish all items. The entire team was involved (I was in charge of buying the tweed, which turned out to be a difficult and sometimes frustrating experience) and the ladies did the cutting & sewing. Items were sent to Cebu via LBC as soon as they were finished to make sure they all make it there even if they didn't arrive all at the same time. Forgot the details already, but I recall that the last items were sent a day prior! It was crazy, hectic, dramatic - still, it all was a wonderful memory and we're very happy to share these wonderful photos (and SDE) with you today.

Looking back, this wedding may have been rich in details, no doubt about it, but it definitely was richer in kindness, care, and love. May these attributes guide, comfort, protect, and envelop you all the rest of your lives, Reylan & Dyan. All the best, and thank you so much for making us a part of your special day! ^_^
